Our story
We're Not Just Hosts.
Daryl and I arrived at Carlton Landing in 2014, one year married, after a family friend who worked for the town's founder told us about a new community rising on Lake Eufaula. Daryl came on as project manager and led the first wave of home building here — and about two and a half years in, we took the leap and started Anchor Homes. I was still in corporate America running staffing back then, which turned out to be the best training there is for working with every kind of person — something we lean on daily now.
In 2020 we started LakeStay Vacation Rentals to care for the vacation side of the community, and today we manage 80+ homes throughout Carlton Landing. But the real story is that this is where our family is growing up. Our kids go to school here, we're active throughout the community, and we're grateful to serve on several different boards that help shape the future of Carlton Landing. Most days, you can find us at The Meeting House or running around chasing the kids.
Carlton Landing means family, purpose, and legacy to us. Over the last decade, we've built deep friendships, created businesses we're incredibly proud of, and invested in a community we truly love. We continue to add businesses that bring value because we plan to be here for the long haul. We never take for granted that we get to live where so many people come to vacation, and we'll always be thankful to call Carlton Landing home.
This is the story we post, week after week. Come follow it.
